We’re talking about anniversaries of old games. The usual smattering of PS2 classics come up, released 20-25 years ago. That’s fine. Everyone remembers the PS2, don’t they? Then Alex Kidd in Miracle World is brought up. It’s discussed as if it’s a complete relic,
Do you ever think back to being a child and all the dreams you had? Did any of them become reality? Sense and rational thinking aren’t really part of a child’s mind, and they are hyper focused on the current moment in which they are the most important
Ever feel like there’s just too much happening in the world for you to possibly cope with it all? If you’re an online person, like me, who relies somewhat on having a social media presence, there’s this pressure to have thoughts about everything. You must be seen
Everyone has an anecdote, right? Even if it’s something small, like how one day on the way to work you ran into Nigel Havers at the train station - like, actually, bumped into him. It’s something you can whip out at a moment’s notice, pretty confident that no
Standing outside the school gate as I wait to pick-up my daughter, I hear a phrase for the second time in my life. “That man has a penis on his t-shirt!” says a woman in a shocked, whisper-concerned tone. I immediately know this is about me, for

It’s always fun to put yourself in the mind of a child, if only to try to get a sense of how they see the world via their overly large eyes and rapidly expanding brain power. People often think of kids as essentially like them, but smaller, but once
“I told you all this last week!” Have you ever said this with a tinge of annoyance in your voice, or been on the end of that annoyance? “You never listen to me!” Maybe sometimes a brain uncontrollably starts thinking about something else or is distracted by an event outside
It’s nice to have a little break, isn’t it. Nine consecutive days of no work (OK, I did a small amount of work) and more time with the family - time to chill. We didn’t go anywhere, but we did embark on day trips, with at least one
